BAZ Trading guide
Set up the BAZ Bridge Connector: TradingView alerts to MetaTrader 5
The BAZ Bridge Connector turns BAZ Sniper alerts from TradingView into orders on your own MetaTrader 5 account. This guide lists what you need, the five setup steps, the settings that control risk, and how to fix the problems customers meet most often.
Before you start: test on a demo account first. Automated execution can lose money quickly, and slippage, spreads, connection problems or broker rejections can make your results differ from the alerts. See the trading risk warning.
How the connection works
TradingView cannot talk to MetaTrader 5 directly, so the connector has two parts:
- TradingView sends each BAZ Sniper alert as a JSON webhook to your personal webhook address.
- The BAZ relay accepts alerts only from TradingView's published webhook addresses, checks that your licence is active and unexpired, and drops duplicates.
- The BazBridge Expert Advisor (EA) in your MT5 terminal checks the relay every second, verifies that each reply is signed, and ignores anything it cannot verify.
- Your broker receives the order from your own terminal, inside the limits you set in the EA.
Your broker password never leaves your terminal: we do not ask for it and the relay never logs in to your account.
What you need
- An active BAZ Sniper membership — the connector executes BAZ Sniper alerts.
- A TradingView plan that includes webhook alerts. TradingView also requires two-factor authentication on your TradingView account before it sends webhooks.
- MetaTrader 5 on a Windows PC or Windows VPS that stays on while you trade. The installer is for Windows.
- A broker account that allows Expert Advisors. Hedging accounts are recommended; on netting accounts the EA holds one position per symbol.
- The symbol you trade available at your broker (mapped if its name differs, for example
XAUUSD=GOLD).
Set up in five steps
1. Buy a licence and bind your MT5 account
Choose a plan on the Bridge Connector page and enter your MT5 account number. Access is granted within 24 hours after successful payment verification. Your dashboard then shows your licence key, your personal webhook address and the download. The licence is bound to that MT5 account number and stops working after its end date.
2. Run the installer
Download the installer from your dashboard and run it on the Windows computer where MT5 is installed. It copies the BazBridge EA into every MetaTrader 5 installation on that computer.
3. Allow WebRequest for the relay address
In MT5, open Tools › Options › Expert Advisors, tick Allow WebRequest for listed URL, and add the relay address shown in your dashboard exactly as it appears. Without this, MT5 blocks the EA from reaching the relay.
4. Attach the EA and switch on Algo Trading
Drag BazBridge onto any chart, paste your licence key in the inputs, and switch on Algo Trading in the MT5 toolbar. The on-chart panel shows the connection status.
5. Create the BAZ Sniper alert in TradingView
On your BAZ Sniper chart in TradingView, create an alert for the indicator and paste your personal webhook address into the alert's Webhook URL field. When the first signal arrives, the EA panel shows it.
Settings that control risk
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Position size | Fixed lots, a risk % of balance based on the stop distance, or the lots sent by the indicator. Optional maximum lots per trade. |
| Take-profit split | The % of the position closed at TP1–TP5; TP6 closes the rest and can sit at the broker. Targets can be taken on your broker's price without waiting for the alert. |
| Stop management | Follow the indicator (break-even at TP2 and a step trail), follow the indicator's stop alerts only, or keep a fixed stop. |
| Filters | Buy only, sell only or both; chosen symbols and timeframes; maximum open trades; maximum spread. |
| Stale-signal protection | Skips entry alerts older than your limit (90 seconds by default) or when price has moved more than your limit, in R, from the alert's entry. |
| Broker symbols | Maps TradingView symbols to your broker's names and adds a suffix such as .m. Levels can shift to your fill price or use TradingView's exact prices. |
Other inputs: magic number, maximum slippage, optional phone push notifications, an on-chart status panel, and closing trades when the indicator reports a stop, trail exit or reversal, if you choose.
Troubleshooting
The panel says “Blocked: allow WebRequest”
MT5 is blocking the connection. Repeat step 3 and check that the relay address matches your dashboard exactly.
An alert arrived but no trade opened
Check the EA log in MT5 (the Experts tab). The usual reasons are: the alert was older than your age limit; price had moved past your drift limit; the spread was above your maximum; you had reached your maximum open trades; or Algo Trading was off.
“Symbol not found”
Your broker uses a different symbol name. Add a mapping such as XAUUSD=GOLD, or set your broker's suffix.
Nothing arrives at all
Check that the TradingView alert has your webhook address, that two-factor authentication is on in TradingView, and that your licence end date in the dashboard has not passed. Your dashboard shows the last signal received and the last connection from your EA.
Can I use one licence on several MT5 accounts?
No. Each licence covers one MT5 account number. Open a support ticket if you need more.
Renewal and support
Licences do not renew automatically. You receive reminders 7, 3 and 1 day before the end date; renewing adds the new period to your current end date. For problems on our side, see the refund and cancellation policy. For help, open a ticket from your dashboard.
